You are welcome to try, but the government agencies we audit typically do NOT make these types of unclaimed funds easy to find. You are welcome to search state unclaimed funds websites and you are likely to find money owed to you or someone you know. These state unclaimed funds websites are great tools to find unclaimed assets, but you won’t find the claim we contacted you about there. Not all claims are easy to find.  We specialize in difficult to find claims and spend a considerable amount of time and resources gathering the details of your claim and then finding you.  Most people realize there are too many government agencies to research, too much work to do, and these funds will default to the government if they are not claimed in time.  Therefore, they decide to partner with a professional in order to not risk potentially losing their right to the money before it goes to the government.

Although, best case-scenario – you continue to live your life as-is, and eventually, we will give you call, and say we are sending you a check!

If a claim for your money isn’t made in time, the money usually “escheats” to the government agency holding them - meaning you can no longer claim the money and the government gets to keep it forever.  We think this is unfair and is one of the main reasons we started this business.
